During the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus, department leaders have a significant role in reducing stress and anxiety and increasing morale in their radiologic technologist staff. Because computed tomography and radiography can be beneficial in providing diagnoses for patients who have or are suspected of having COVID-19, many radiologic technologists are on the frontlines of the pandemic, risking their own health and well-being. With the help and support of department leadership and strong lead technologists, NYU Radiology has demonstrated that essential frontline technologists can continue to deliver high-quality diagnostic images while delivering a positive patient experience and meeting the high demands of efficiency.
This quiz is the companion to the column, "Frontline Imaging: Meeting the Challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic," which appears in the September/October 2020 Radiologic Technology journal.
