During this discussion, the panel will explain theranostics and radiopharmaceutical therapy to define what they are and how they are being used in patient care. The presenters also will address current uses of theranostics for cancer therapy and the benefits of this technique from a patient perspective. The panel will review opportunities for radiopharmaceutical use in medical imaging, personalization of treatment, and the role of imaging following the patient’s response to therapy. Methods of tumor localization and incorporating theranostic techniques into clinical practice also will be discussed.
