This presentation describes the 3 stages of HIV infection, the various routes of HIV transmission, and the prevention and treatment options available for HIV and AIDS. Strategies for reducing stigma and discrimination against those affected by HIV/AIDS are discussed, as well as the risk factors that make individuals vulnerable to HIV. The initiative to end the HIV epidemic is also covered.
