This article
discusses MR imaging as a tool for supplemental breast cancer screening in
high-risk individuals. The article describes screening indications as well as
the risks, benefits, and challenges of introducing MR Imaging as an alternative
or supplement to mammography. Patient access and other prohibitive limitations
such as time and cost associated with the examination are also discussed.
