This
presentation will review bone health, including foundational information
related to bone structure and the physiology of bone. The presentation also provides an in-depth
examination of osteoporosis as defined by the World Health Organization.
Osteoporosis types, causes and risk factors will be reviewed, including a
multi-system review of associated diseases. The etiology of osteoporosis,
including its contributing factors, will also be discussed. The presentation
will also take a look at the purpose, definition and guidelines for imaging, as
well as qualified individuals, covered under the Bone Mass Measurement
