This presentation covers the vascular and nonvascular anatomy of the brain and spinal cord, and describes the various functions of the brain. The properties and use of contrast media in the vascular system are discussed, as well as indications and contraindications for cerebrovascular angiographic procedures and how to recognize endovascular anatomy on digital subtraction angiograms. Finally, vascular conditions are described along with the interventions used to treat each condition.
