Informatics is a term that may be familiar to health care workers, but is generally not widely understood. This presentation introduces the basics of informatics, and defines the radiographer’s role in its effective use and delivery.  Subjects such as healthcare data, electronic health records, health information exchange, information system architecture, safety and security, ethics, mobile technology and telemedicine will be discussed.
