The transition to a digital medical imaging environment is well underway and entrenched in radiology standards of care. This evolution has been in progress for nearly 35 years, and goes back as far as xeroradiography and the first digital subtraction angiographic system, introduced in the early 1980s. Progress has been slow but steady, and now its pace has quickened due to a number of factors. In this presentation we will look at the components of digital detector designs and their clinical capabilities and applications.???
