This presentation will summarize radiation therapy treatment techniques for IMRT and non-IMRT thorax and abdomen procedures. Patient preparation, positioning, and immobilization will be reviewed. In addition, components of the treatment prescription, appropriate geometric parameters, and verification and application of the prescribed treatment plan will be discussed. Finally, the presentation will describe benefits and challenges of each treatment technique.
