This presentation will summarize radiation therapy treatment techniques for total body irradiation, electron beam treatment, and brachytherapy. Patient set-up, positioning, and immobilization will be reviewed. The presentation will also review dose calculation parameters including isodose curve characteristics and beam modifiers. In addition, components of the treatment prescription, appropriate geometric parameters, imaging procedures, and verification and application of the prescribed treatment plan will be discussed.
