In this presentation elements of communication will be discussed, from before the procedure to the patient handoff and follow up. Communication both with the patient and with the care team will be considered. The presentation will describe patient assessment and monitoring, including the required equipment and patient assessment values. We will discuss the importance of communication with the patient throughout the procedure. Finally, a general description of interventional radiology medical device maintenance for oxygen, chest tubes, catheters, drainage bags, IV's and suction machines will be addressed.
