Participants in this presentation will learn about various hazards encountered in the medical imaging department, including radiation, chemicals, and potentially infectious materials. Each hazard will be looked at individually and we will explore ways to help reduce and prevent hazards from occurring. In addition, the presentation will discuss strategies for working with combative patients and review ergonomic considerations related to patient transfers and equipment operation.
