This article describes joint effusion, lipohemarthrosis, and exuberant subsynovial frondlike fatty proliferation in lipoma arborescens are depicted with MR and radiography. Patella alta, patellar tilt, and complete lateral patellar dislocation are assessed to evaluated trochlear dysplasia. The importance of visualizing bone outlines with MR and radiography is also discussed.
