This article discusses the role of cardiac MR imaging in the diagnosis, risk-stratification, and treatment of patients with cardiac arrythmias. The use of MR imaging-based noninvasive virtual programmed simulation for identifying potential ablation targets is discussed, as well as how real-time MR imaging can be used for intraprocedural guidance of electrophysiologic interventions.
