This article examines the incidence of different stages of prostate cancers detected in patients, and the applications of parametric MR imaging for patients with a high clinical suspicion of prostate cancer. The use of MR guided focal therapies, including cryotherapy, high intensity focused ultrasound, and focal laser ablation, are also discussed.
