Cardiac MRI has typically been performed only by a select few members of any MRI team, which has led to staffing problems and delays. It is the goal of this presentation to introduce cardiac anatomy and the imaging planes, to explain cardia gating, and to walk the viewer through a basic cardiac exam while avoiding common pitfalls.
