This presentation will cover anatomy and physiology of the alimentary tract and describe the role of sonography and radiography in diagnosing and treating pediatric intussusception. We will discuss the susceptible age groups, types of intussusception, sonographic protocol, fluoroscopic preparation, and reducibility. Sonographer awareness of ultrasound findings, radiologist diagnosis, and prompt treatment improve successful reducibility rates of intussusception via enema therapy under fluoroscopy.
