This presentation will begin with a quick discussion of what kV and mAs do in digital imaging, as compared with film screen. One of the main focuses of this presentation will be to prove without a doubt that the Exposure Index (EI) numbers that come up with both CR and DR are very reliable. In fact, they can barely be corrupted more than 75% regardless of the centering and collimation. We will also discuss how EI numbers can be corrupted with bad centering or collimation, as well as the EI ranges used by various manufacturers.
