This presentation will discuss how to properly critique a digital image, including level and windowing, magnification modes, and using the Exposure Index. We will demonstrate the power of Automatic Rescaling by showing how several different brands of CR and DR machines react when too much mAs is used in an exposure. We will also discuss the concept of technique creep and why it is happening in the U.S. and around the world. Finally, we will discuss some of the legal issues that concern radiographers, including properly marking an image, reprocessing images with different algorithms, using too much technique, and shuttering.
