This presentation will discuss the basics of imaging the thorax and abdomen. A review of the anatomy, both gross and radiographic, will include the bony thorax, respiratory system, and mediastinum. The abdomen anatomy review will include the gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and urinary systems. Imaging considerations, positioning, and pathology will also be discussed for all views of the thorax and abdomen.
