Ben Roberts, R.T.(R)(MR)
Beginning with the basics of image digitization, this presentation identifies ways to improve image quality using research-validated techniques. After this presentation, attendees will be able to define general terms related to digital image processing. This foundation is followed by a discussion of histogram formation that seeks to avoid errors in image formation. Automatic post-processing techniques are discussed in relation to image contrast and resolution. Finally, attendees will be able to critically evaluate the use of exposure indicators to guide image production as well as the use of post-processing techniques that improve image quality.
