Kori Stewart, MHS, R.T.(R)(CT), CIIP
Early identification of a medical emergency is the key to intervention and necessary for radiology departments. Optimal patient centered care requires that all R.T.’s learn vital signs assessment, as the safety of the patient relies on these critical skills. Every R.T. should be able to determine if a patient has normal or abnormal vital signs, and what steps to take in the event of an abnormal assessment. This presentation will provide the R.T. with an in-depth look at body temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure monitoring. Steps in the assessment of vital signs will be provided and normal versus abnormal values will be discussed.
