Practicing basic enema tip placement and removal procedures can help enhance learning and comprehension of the procedure and lead to more successful exams. Students and technologists without experience performing contrast enemas might find these examinations challenging or intimidating. This article describes several methods that can be used to prepare for the procedure, practice communicating with patients, and reflect on the experience in a safe environment.
This quiz is the companion to the column, "Simulating Contrast Enema Tip Placement and Removal," which appears in the May/June 2021 Radiologic Technology journal.
This activity may be available in multiple formats or from different sponsors. ARRT regulations state that an individual may not repeat a self-learning activity for credit if it was reported in the same biennium.
