This chapter describes single-phase, three-phase and high-frequency x-ray generators and how to calculate their power output ratings. You will learn about the three parts of a quality control program for radiographic equipment, the main components of an automatic exposure control (AEC) system and the quality control tests performed on mobile equipment. The importance of grid uniformity and alignment on image quality is also discussed.
