This chapter will teach you about the training, patient preparation, and consent for interventional techniques. It also includes information about equipment preparation, setting a sterile trolley, and the preprocedure ultrasound exam. Fine need aspiration, needle core biopsy, and localization of focal lesions are also covered. The chapter ends with a discussion of procedure-related complications including epithelial displacement, pneumothorax, allergic reactions and many others.
