Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) has become a popular modality for imaging the body’s vasculature. This presentation will discuss clinical applications for CTA in the head, neck, chest, abdomen, and extremities. Each section will provide a review of anatomy and physiology. CTA's evolution will be described, including key components, such as slip ring technology and multi-detector arrays, as well as higher spatial resolution and helical scanning. Patient care considerations such as proper screening, medical and surgical history, and the use of contrast media will be discussed.
