Moving from the analog world to digital was a huge transition for mammography. In order to adjust to the changes, mammographers must have background knowledge of digital imaging techniques. In this presentation, we will explore digital mammography as well as evaluate the information systems necessary for archival of mammographic images. This presentation addresses image acquisition methods, digital image display workflow, and imaging informatics.
