This Directed Reading differentiates upper and lower gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding by anatomical landmarks and clinical presentation, as well as the laboratory tests and imaging techniques used to aid in the diagnosis of GI bleeding. Specific methods for CT angiography and CT enterography are discussed, as well as the dose reduction methods used for CT imaging of GI bleeds.
