Professional ethics are the principles
that govern the behavior of a person or group in a business environment. For
medical imaging, professional ethics are defined by the standards of ethics and
practice standards, which describe how technologists should behave and
practice. This presentation will review the origin of medical ethics, current
ethical and practice standards, and how changing societal values influence the
role of the radiologic technologist.
