This presentation will extensively explain the BI-RADS program as outlined by the ACR, including an assessment of categories 0 through 6. The presenter will review several mammographic appearances including asymmetry, focal asymmetry, masses, calcifications, and architectural distortion. Features that make masses or calcification appear benign or malignant will also be covered. Benign, high risk, and malignant breast pathologies listed on the ARRT Mammography Content Specifications will also be reviewed.
