This presentation will cover proper dose calculation in nuclear medicine, including common dosage ranges for radiopharmaceuticals and non-radioactive adjunct or interventional pharmaceuticals. Formulas to calculate dose volume from specific concentrations of a kit will be examined, including decay calculations through the decay formula and through decay tables. Determination of decay factors through a decay table will be explored. Conversion for various units of measurement, including lengths, weights, and activity units will be discussed. The effects of improper calculation will also be described.
