This presentation introduces abdominal sonographic procedures, including abdominal Doppler examinations. The anatomical structures and sonographic landmarks of the solid abdominal organs will be discussed, including associated vasculature and surrounding etiologies. We will cover sonographic planes, artifacts, and scan limitations faced during sonographic evaluation of these abdominal structures. Normal abdominal anatomy and common pathologies encountered during sonographic evaluation will also be explained.
