Hip and bony-pelvis pain are common symptoms caused by injury, arthritis, and sometimes other serious pathologic conditions. If conservative treatments are ineffective, an MRI may be ordered because it provides the most accurate information about the soft tissues involved in these pathologies. This presentation describes the basic elements of the MRI exam of the bony pelvis and hips.
