This presentation describes common vascular interventional procedures, including pre-procedure considerations such as aseptic technique and pre-procedure planning. Many aspects of participation in these procedures will be discussed, such as staff roles and rules of etiquette, as well as interventional vascular tools such as needles, wires, dilators, sheaths, and catheters, and how each is used within procedures. Types of interventional procedures will be identified and related to wound classifications.
