This presentation will discuss the various aspects of nuclear medicine lung imaging. The procedure for performing a VQ study will be discussed, with special attention to both the ventilation and perfusion components. Both the 133Xe gas and 99mTc-DTPA aerosol protocols will be evaluated for ventilation. Quantitative lung imaging will also be discussed.
