This course will provide an overview of physical assistance for patients. We will discuss correct body mechanics, including balance, alignment and movement, in addition to the various patient transfer techniques. Wheelchair and stretcher assistance and transfer techniques will be discussed thoroughly, with a focus on personnel and patient safety.
